Processing of Rice

The cultivation of rice takes place in the vast paddy fields nestled at the base of the Himalayas. The unique fragrance and flavor of Basmati rice are attributed to the specialized soil and climate found in these mountain foothills. Our company engages in the processing of Paddy Rice, acquiring the raw material from traders across different regions in India. The Paddy undergoes a comprehensive milling process, resulting in various Basmati Rice varieties along with its byproducts—Bran and Husk. The processing stages include Boiling, Drying, De-Husking, Polishing, Sorting, Grading, and Packing.

Our manufacturing facility boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure equipped with cutting-edge machinery for comprehensive rice processing—from milling and sorting to polishing and packaging. All machinery, elevators, and plants are meticulously maintained to ensure a dust-free environment and absolute hygiene across the entire operational area.

Utilizing advanced machinery from reputable brands such as Buhler from Germany and Satake from Japan, we possess the perfect amalgamation of sophisticated equipment and a skilled workforce. This synergy enables us to meet large-scale client demands within stipulated timelines.

Rice Processing Stages

The processing journey of rice begins upon its arrival at the rice mill or processing plant. Initially, the rice undergoes dehusking by a rubber roll sheller, yielding brown rice. Subsequently, the husk is removed without compromising the nutritional integrity of the grain.

The processing method varies depending on the desired rice type—White Rice, Steam Rice, or Parboiled Rice. Parboiled rice, for instance, undergoes a steam pressure process before milling. Here, the rice is parboiled within the hull, softening the kernel and allowing starch, bran, and other components to intermingle. Post-drainage, the rice is carefully steam-dried and then processed through machines to remove the hull and polish the kernels.

The polishing stage significantly influences rice quality. Techniques like double-polishing, silky polish, or regular polish impart a cleaner, brighter, and shinier appearance to the grains.

Moreover, the average grain length (AGL) and the desired percentage of broken grains are predetermined before milling as per the buyer's specifications—ranging from 1% to 100% broken grains.

Processing Equipment Overview

The dehusking process involves passing the paddy between two rubber rollers, effectively splitting the hull and releasing the grain. A specialized paddy separator eliminates the bran layer from brown rice, employing advanced multi-break vertical whiteners using abrasion and friction to convert brown rice into milled white kernels. Our milling stage utilizes fully automated machinery for superfine polishing, ensuring smooth and lustrous rice grains.

Quality Control and Packing

We employ world-class sorting machines during the final quality control phase. These machines efficiently remove discolored grains and optionally chalky kernels, resulting in a superior-grade product.

Our packing facility excels in consumer and bulk packaging, ranging from 1kg to 50kg. We offer various packaging options—Fabric Bags, Laminate Pouches, Tyvek, Cartons, Poly Jars, Jute Bags—to safeguard the rice from external contaminants during transportation.

Private Labeling and Warehousing
